First — Deborah Copaken interviewed me about How to Baby for her newsletter, and I️ am so touched by what she wrote. I️ feel like it pulled me out of a year-long funk (someone being, like, over the top gracious and nice to you can do that). You can read it here. I’m also a huge fan of Deborah’s writing in general - her books are direct, astute, witty, delightful - read Ladyparts!!! - as is her newsletter.

More news: I’ll be doing an Instagram Live with Eve Rodsky on @fairplaylife on Tueseday at 4:30 EST. Eve wrote the book Fair Play, a guidebook for establishing equality in household labor, which has defined my understanding of marriage and motherhood more than anything.

Now, some war reporting I️ did for the New Yorker this week. She said callously, then apologized insufficiently.
