Hi! Hope you’re having a good week somehow? Some cartoons. I️ drew but will not post some about the week’s news for fear of being picked off by a killer robot next year.
For those of you who are feeling chatty, I️ had a realization about my work. I️ always thought I️ needed to work outside of my apartment - but I️ think it’s actually that I️ need to work with people around. It makes sense - if you’re making work for other people - to be somewhere where you can remind yourself what other people are like, I️ guess. Even though crowded cafes are terrifying and cruel. I’ve been working at a coworking space lately. There’s a rule against talking to other people, and many narrow hallways, which makes for some very awkward interactions. Where do you like best to work? Or what do you hate about where you are required to work? Discuss.
For paid members, another segment of She Devil - a graphic novel I’ve been thinking and caring about for years, and am making, like, a mid-way-finished draft of, which I️ am presenting to you not because it’s 100% comprehensible yet but because it’s so helpful for me to know you’re reading it. As I️ keep working on this draft and it builds up steam, I’m feeling more pressure to keep ploughing ahead, and less embarrassment about not having everything worked out. I’ll go back later and reorganize things and do a lot of line editing. Thank you so much for reading, and for supporting this newsletter.
