Hi Everyone,

I️ hadn’t been planning to post this week because I’m on vacation, but my wonderful parents have taken my kid to a firehouse, so I️ will post after all.

First, some cartoons. Thank you for looking.

This one’s meant to be interactive. Add to the list in the comments, if you’d like. I️ didn’t mean the list to be about kids, exactly - I️ meant it to be about a specific kind of sadness I’ve been feeling on and off these past few years. I️ think it’s a wife/mom sadness - a form of low self-esteem - and I️ think it’s imposed on us by the powers that be, and that once we can recognize it, we can just ignore it and go on living our fabulous lives.

A bunch of these cartoons are me piecing that feeling apart.

This one’s about feeling protected when you’re out with your kid. It’s nice to feel like a grown-up for once.

Don’t get me started on this one. I️ don’t know if I️ stand by it. Time will tell.

I️ wanted to caption this one “other moms” but I️ mean it in a nuanced way - our fear of other moms??

And - for paid subscribers, a three-page segment of a longer comic I’ve been posting as I️ work on it. It’s called She Devil. It’s a reframing of the story of the devil as someone who was bad at being an angel, rather than someone who was evil. (I️ could describe it other ways, too, and will).
